This car starts and runs, although could use a tune-up. The car is also due for new brake pads in rear, emergency brake broken (probably a spring), the top is electric and the motor is fine, but due to VW safety standards it will not operate unless the emergency brake is up, currently it is switched to manual mode (switch is in the trunk and it’s easy to pull up and down by hand), some spots on the car body that have been touched up but could use professional body work, electric door opener needs replaced, also muffler (just muffler) needs replaced, small tear on drives seat, molding loose on end on drivers door (see pic), needs clip. On the plus side; two speed sensors replaced, right front tie rod, transmission completely rebuilt about eight years ago, new oil filter, radiator rebuilt, new water pump, and new battery. This car was my wife’s and loves it, but sadly can no longer drive it due to multiple sclerosis. Needs a little tender loving care, but priced right! Purchase paid through Pay Pal, no returns, and buyer responsible for pickup and associated transportation cost.

1995 Volkswagen Cabrio 1995 Volkswagen Cabrio Project Car Runs Great

Is anybody out there looking for a great inexpensive project car? It’d be a great father/son or father/daughter project. For that matter it’d also be a great mother/son or mother/daughter project. I bought this as a project car for myself but my health pretty much keeps me from working on it. The guy I bought it off of started to take it a part to put a paint job on it, but lost interest. You can obviously see the primer spots on the car in the pictures. The guy I got the car off of said he was fixing small dents and scratches in the paint. He was not doing rust repair. He also bought new front and rear bumper covers. All the parts are there to reassemble the car. Both rear taillights are cracked but it also comes with different rear taillights to change out. The only thing I don't have is the passenger's side view mirror has the outer casing broke off, and I don't have a different mirror. That mirror works but the outside casing is broke off. I have it, but it's come off the mirror. It doesn't come with hubcaps, but the tires are in real nice condition. Lots and lots of miles left on them. There is a crack in the windshield, but the windshield doesn't necessarily need to be replaced. The crack isn't in the line of sight. The convertible top is in nice condition. One small rip about an inch long. The car starts, runs and drives. The engine runs good with no strange noises. Here’s what I know is for sure is wrong with the car. The exhaust is rusty and has leaks, but it’s not horrible. It needs a heater core. Once car comes up to temperature steam starts coming out of the vents. The brakes are grinding, but it’s coming from the rear. Probably needs shoes and drums? The interior is not horrible but it’s not good either. It needs a good cleaning and has a few burn holes. The trunk was broke into, but I have all the parts and probably can be put back together. No damage to deck lid. The power passenger window does not go down. When you hit the button you hear the motor humming but it doesn’t move. It has a lot of electrical issues like I noticed the radio, heat and a/c blower motor, fuel gauge, temperature gauge all doesn’t work, but the tach works, and it has some type of factory alarm that still works. After I bought the car I noticed it had a few relays missing from fuse/relay box. Maybe that’s the issue? The body is solid with the exception of both of the bottoms of the front fenders behind the tires. Feel free to ask questions. The car is located in Romeo, Michigan. if you’re close feel free to come look at it. Even if you’re not close feel free to come look at.
